Nose Correction

Concern

The shape of the nose varies in many ways due to individually varying bony and cartilage structures within it. By surgically modifying these structures, the nose can be reshaped to have a more pleasing appearance. This does not necessarily improve any previously experienced restrictions of airflow as it affects the outer shape of the nose more than its interior function.

Treatment

This surgery is performed under general anesthesia with suture removal after 5 days.

Hospital Admission:               Outpatient or 1 night

Recuperation Time:               2 to 4 weeks

Post Surgery

Patients must cool the face for two days. Depending on the involvement of bony structures, a supporting plaster on the nose bridge may be necessary.
